(Prices guaranteed till December 15, 2017)

2014 ila Syrah, Santa Ynez. Our inaugural wine - $58

We only have a handful of cases left to sell from a 70 case production. Get it before it's gone.

93 points Wine Enthusiast - ...shows much promise, starting with woody elderberry, tar, black pepper and dense lavender on the buoyant nose. The sip starts with powerful pepper and then coalesces around cassis and black-currant fruit, a tarry minerality, dried herbs of thyme and juniper and a cocoa finish...

Our next bottling is a 2016 Grenache from Murmur Vineyards and won't be released till Spring 2018. For 2017, winemaker Mary Bradley just barreled a Petite Sirah from Arroyo Grande and a Syrah from the Mesa A block at Zaca Mesa.

ila is winemaker Mary Bradley and retailer Ash Mehta. Our intention is to produce small quantities of wine from vineyards on the Central Coast.

2015 Cotiere Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills, Santa Barbara - winery $36, wine club $29

Dried cherry, mint, crushed flowers and earthy notes are nicely laced together. Silky tannins add to the wine's graciousness and overall appeal.  Classic Sta. Rita Hills  within it's focus, weight and fruit profile.  Fifteen months in barrel, unfined and unfiltered.

2015 Emerson Brown Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley - winery $50, wine club $45

Emerson, as in Keith Emerson, Director of Winemaking at Vineyard 29 in Napa, and Brown, as in Brian Brown, Winemaker at ONX Wines in Paso Robles. The body is medium weight with a solid middle carrying onto a nice long finish. Flavors match the aromas with a bend towards more earthy and forest tones. Overall the wine is nicely layered which is indicative of the multiple pedigree sights the fruit is sourced from.

2015 Failla Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast - winery $40, wine club $36

The nine vineyards that go into this wine range from Olivet in the middle of the Russian River Valley to Bohan and Hirsch on the far-coast ridges. It’s inviting, with plump red fruit and tangy acidity working in harmony. Its sandy grip and savory aroma of smoked tea leaves suggests it will reveal additional layers of complexity in a few years...

2013 Leviathan Red - winery $40, wine club $34

37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Syrah, 24% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc. 10th anniversary bottling. Aromatics of cigar box, brambly fruit and cacao jump from the glass. The palate gives way to a balanced expression of black cherries and anise, with savory tannins and a full, lingering finish. Enjoy now or cellar through 2023.

2015 La Cuadrilla by Stolpman Vineyards, Ballard Canyon - winery $22, wine club $20

ALL proceeds from this wine go to benefit vineyards workers at Stolpman. 68% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 12% Sangiovese. 2015 La Cuadrilla bursts with red fruit backed with subtle spice and tannin.  Finely balanced, the wine rewards the palate with both pure pleasure and sophistication.  A nice earthy-mineral note provides a check to the scrumptiously accessible front palate.

2016 Para Maria by Stolpman Vineyards, Ballard Canyon - winery $22, wine club $20

A collaboration between master vineyard manager Ruben Solorzano and Peter Stolpman this wine is named for Ruben's wife Maria. 84% Syrah and 15% Petite Verdot, partly fermented in a traditional manner and partly carbonic. Lively, peppy balance and juicy brambly blackberry.  Graphite and cracked pepper create an impression of seriousness with a hint of savory wood from the whole-bunch carbonic fermentation.

2014 Red Schooner Voyager 5, Argentina/Napa - winery $50, wine club $30

This Malbec is made from grapes grown in the Andes Mountains, shipped chilled to Napa Valley and produced with the same techniques as our Caymus Cabernet. Falling outside standard labeling rules, it does not include a vintage date but is known by the voyage from which it was produced (Voyage 5 is the 2014 vintage). Offering scents of ripe plums and cherries, this wine is powerful and supple, with flavors of French oak and soft tannins.

2016 Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon from Joe Wagner of Caymus - winery $48, wine club $32

Blackberry preserves, stewed rhubarb, hazelnut and charred meat with notes of dark licorice, vanillin and spice. Decadent chocolate brownie, yogurt and molasses flavors are in perfect balance with the high-toned fruit.

2012 Toucan Estate Toucanet Zinfandel Dessert Wine 375 ML - wine club $20

Aging in one small fine oak barrel for 22 months produced an incredible and lovely sweet dessert styled wine that tastes of rich sweet fruits, deep raspberry liquor, and wild cherry.

2014 Cotiere Chardonnay Talley Rincon, Arroyo Grande - winery $39, wine club $29

Color of fresh dried hay with just a glint of green, this was bottled unfined and unfiltered, and received 50% new French oak. A nose of Meyer lemon, tarragon, and saffron leads to a focused palate of supple viscosity and abundant minerality, with notes of more lemon, vanilla bean, crème brûlée, and butterscotch...

2016 EFFORT Rose of Pinot Noir, Edna Valley - winery SOLD OUT, wine club $20

An elegant, sophisticated ‘Vin Gris’ manifestation of the red Pinot Noir grape. Pale pink/apricot in hue, with delicate strawberry and melon aromatic cues. Refreshingly crisp on the palate, with watermelon, orange peel and an herbal fennel note.

2016 El Lugar Pinot Noir Blanc - wine club $30

Very, very limited, this wine sells out every year. Made from a champagne clone of Pinot Noir at Greengate Ranch. From Coby Parker-Garcia. We have just 2 cases available.
